Do I need prior grappling experience to do sessions?

No prior experience is necessary. We cater to people of all abilities, from day one beginners to high level competition jiu jitsu athletes.

What should I wear to sessions?

If you don’t own any nogi gear (rashguard and shorts/spats) you can wear shorts (no zips) and t-shirt (preferably not loose fitting).

Is there car parking available at your gym?

There are limited car parking spaces near Commando Temple (ask for a permit on arrival). We do not offer car parking spaces at London Grapple, however there is free parking in the neighbouring Deptford streets, we recommend you try Adolphus Street first.

Are there bike racks available at your gym?

We provide bike racks outside our gyms, both at London Grapple and Commando Temple. Make sure to bring your own lock or chain.

Are there showers available at your facilities?

Yes, we have showers available at both London Grapple and Commando Temple.

Do you offer personal strength and conditioning sessions as well?

Do you offer group sessions?

Do you teach freestyle wrestling?

We don’t offer specific freestyle wrestling sessions. Although Joe is experienced in freestyle wrestling, and the techniques taught could certainly be used for freestyle, they are more focused towards the jiu jitsu ruleset.
